Collins Avenue Grocery was purchased in 1984 by Daniel and Margaret Huston. The property and building itself dates back to 1938. Mr. and Mrs. Huston opened Collins Ave Grocery as a neighborhood store that could serve the surrounding community. They ran the store as a family business for 12 years with their children. Then the store was offered as a rental property to entrepreneurs in the community. In 2019 before his untimely passing Daniel decided that it was time that the store be run by the Huston Family once again.
